Rosen [11] considered six stratified tempera- ture-distribution models: linear, stepped, conti- nuous-linear, general-linear, basic three-zone and general three-zone. For each model, the temperature distribution as a function of the high is given, and the expressions for T, when the TES is fully mixed and when has the same exergy as a stratified TES, is derived. Although the models are compared to each other and are easy to implement, the paper does not give enough information to be reproducible, many of the values required to compare the results with experimental data should be supposed. One of the most recent models used in thermal stratification was develo- ped by Kadhem and Hamed [18]. The model analyzes the interaction be- tween the liquid inside the tank with its walls, including the effects of heat transfer by convection and conduc- tion though the tank wall. The model is easy to implement and take into account thermal relaxation.
